The present study aims to examine the obstacles of teaching Geography Matter in The Elementary Stage and their effects on the Academe Achievement from the point of views elementary schools’ teacher in Baghdad _Iraq.
The descriptive perspective was adopted in the present study. (168 ) Geography males and females teacher in the state elementary schools AL-Karkh side OF Iraq Capital Baghdad i.e.56% of the original study sample population were selected as acsample of the study. A37 item questionnaire distributed on the aspects of the study aspect of the Subject, aspectot insurance the in struetional teaching use and demonstration requireel for the teaching process –aspect of evaluation and tests, and teaching methods and class room activities was used and the (spss) application n was applied to process the study data.
The following results were drawn: 1.the degree of obstacles for the geography learners in the aspect of insurance the instructional teaching use and demonstration required for teaching process and the aspect of evaluation and tests is moderate whereas the degree of obstacles for the learners in the aspect of teaching methods and classroom activities are higher.
Many recommend mations were showned by the resrcher according to those resuilts such as training the teachers on teachning of outlying the studying objectines and well employing these objectines in daily subject matter preparation and designing the training programs to develop the teachers’ abilities in constructing the Achievement tests to encourage the school administrations the teachers to use various teaching methods and meaningful classroom activities.
